Artist Statement
I take the words and unspoken actions of politicians, media conglomerates, and news pundits, and break them down. By taking media from new sources such as New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Time Magazine I can criticize politicians and political commentators by using their own words against them. With my use of symbols and the connection through material I criticize the United States', typically, reactionary policies both domestically and overseas. I combine these elements with abstraction to amplify the convoluted path of American politics.
