Artist Statement

The process in which I go about capturing moments always depends on the film stock I have in my camera. With black and white I try to take out the color I see with my eyes and look for the emotion that can be seen between the grey. With shooting on film every shot I take is a representation to a visual image I am also capturing with my eyes. With every Blink there is a moment that has come and a moment that is now gone; the same with film once you click that shutter and move away from your viewfinder that moment is now in the past. Photogrphy to me is a beautiful part of my life and very important, as I get older I see now the importance of photography. To get another moment in life to expeiernce It all over again by just looking at a simple image captured years ago but now that importance weighs heaver then the scales can measure. I just try to live my life moment to moment , frame by frame, image by image, if we all can take a moment and breathe and snap that image with our eyes and lens the world will be a better place.

Born to captivate, Daniel Mercado has been perfecting his craft since before he can remember. As a professional Male Model since 2019, Daniel Mercado takes pride in representing the latest styles and fashion designs. With a passion for modeling, photography, and acting, Daniel Mercado has worked tirelessly to establish himself in the industry. As life continues to grow and the experience is being added to the lifespan of Daniel, he continues to elevate how he sees the world through different mediums. Photography has been a pride and joy for Daniel capturing what we call life through the lens of a camera. Film photography is the choice of shooting reason being is due to the nature of being similar of how we blink and the moment isn't the same as It was moments ago.
