Artist Statement
The collision of cultures, architecture, sounds, environments and people - I am inspired and moved by the contrasts of things, places, and spaces and this in many ways describes how I feel and identify as a person, and as an artist. This perhaps too, drives my creative process, conceptualization and subject matter of my works. Portraits with the pen, pencil or paintbrush, have traditionally typified my approach but with a distinctly illustrative accent. I've held a long standing appreciation for graphic design and the combination of these dimensions have influenced my most recent works.
