Artist Statement

I interpret elusive emotions and symbiotic relationships, delving into the Traditional Chinese Humanistic Philosophy of 'Tian Ren He Yi'. The interconnectedness among humans, nature, and machines is complex yet exquisitely intertwined. I explore how visceral emotions, language, and communication influence our physical reactions, aiming to visualize these intangible sensations. Utilizing different ceramic techniques like coil building, wheel throwing, and ceramic 3D printing, I unravel the enigmatic nature of the human body and society. Employing diverse methods to stress materials, I capture their resistance and embrace outcomes through iterative creation of specific objects. Additionally, I merge 3D printing and hand-building techniques to explore the balance point between contemporary ceramics art and traditional craftsmanship, crafting serene meditation spaces that invite profound contemplation.
