Artist Statement

My name is Darian Thompson, and I am an editorial photographer that specializes in working with models and artists. I strive to ensure that these people are always put in the best possible spotlight, as they continue to build their names and their brands. I have a passion for making sure those that I create with look their best when they are in front of the camera. I believe in creating an atmosphere that is both creative and collaborative, so that my subjects can feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire photoshoot. I understand the importance of quality work and the value of working together to provide beautiful and unique images that accurately reflect the models I work with. I am an editorial photographer who has a dedication to curating stunning images that tells your story. I also do personal projects from time to time that reflects a message that I am learning about through my current experiences. These projects are dear to me and is important that I keep doing this in my career. I see it as my story to tell and it is unique to what my experiences are. It is cool because these things can also be inspirational for others that resonate with some of my experiences. My art tells a story while uplifting others, and even myself, to amplify their experiences to tell their story because their voices matter.

Biography

Darian Thompson is a creative director, photographer, visionary, and visual artist. As a Dallas based portrait and editorial photographer Darian draws inspiration from multiple realms of art, from his random thoughts, and day to day life. Darian takes those forms of inspiration and brings them into the world of photography. At the heart of his work is a passion for bringing his creative ideas to life to help inspire those around him to live life to their best potential. Darian’s ultimate goal is to have a global impact and long lasting legacy with his art.
