Artist Statement
I began my career as a film editor and then a film director. After a long career as a filmmaker, and then, happily as a Professor of media production and film studies, I thought it might finally be time to share my work as well as invite those interested in displaying my photographs. I am currently engaged in creating a series of portraits for a future exhibition as well as continuing what I describe as “mise-en-scenes” —groups of photos that tell a story, which I have titled “Framing History.” You can read more about my “Framing History” series at https://www.thepictorial-list.com/pictorial-stories/history-in-the-making
