Artist Statement
I use many different mediums to create the vision I have in my mind. I do not stick to just one form but can cover many different mediums within a single piece. None of my pieces are ever the same as another but if I do paint a series there is a theme that runs through all the pieces I’m the series.
Music is a great influence in my work. Jazz, Country or Hip-Hop can send my mind to a place where I can pull from my emotions to put into my work. Each piece is an extension of my emotions at that time to be showcased to the world for years to come.
Biography
Marc “Mozzy” Love was born in Tacoma Washington, has lived and traveled around the world but now lives in Noblesville Indiana where he honed his skill in mixed media art. After college he had a long corporate career but always dabbled in the arts. Though he never went to school for the arts, he spent years teaching himself by studying the Masters and the contemporary greats such as Koons, Basquiat, Banksy and Harring. An accomplished art collector and author of two books, he appreciates the creativity of making an idea come to life through his own art and writings.
Mozzy’s artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Arkansas, Michigan, Florida and Indiana, including “Baku Papers” at the Blue Eyed Gypsy and “Postage Stamps: A Collection of My Art” at Hunt Club, both located in Sheridan Indiana, “Be Black” at Mahogany Visions Art Gallery, Little Rock Arkansas and “Welcome to the Boomtown” at the Nickel Plate in Noblesville, IN.
