Artist Statement

As a sculptor, my work is an exploration of the harmonious intersection between form, material, and emotion. Each piece I create is a dialogue between the raw potential of the medium and the intricate visions that drive my artistic journey. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, my sculptures often reflect organic forms and fluid lines, embodying both the strength and delicacy inherent in nature.

Working predominantly with bronze, I am captivated by its versatility and timeless quality. This material allows me to convey the subtleties of texture and movement, creating pieces that resonate with a sense of permanence and grace. The addition of Swarovski crystals in select works serves to highlight the interplay of light and surface, adding a dynamic element that engages viewers in a constantly shifting visual experience.

My artistic process is deeply intuitive, involving a balance of meticulous planning and spontaneous creation. This approach allows each sculpture to evolve organically, often leading to unexpected and profound outcomes. Through my work, I aim to evoke an emotional response, inviting viewers to connect with the sculptures on a personal and contemplative level.

Biography

Oleg Kedria
Sculptor, Founder of Kedria Arts Gallery

Born in 1968, Oleg Kedria is a celebrated sculptor whose work has earned international recognition for its intricate craftsmanship and thematic depth. Kedria graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the prestigious National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv, Ukraine, where he specialized in Animal Form Sculpture under the tutelage of academician Vladimir Chepelik. His formal education, including a Bachelor’s in Monumental Sculpture from Kharkov College of Arts, has laid the foundation for his distinguished career in the fine arts.

Kedria’s sculptures have been showcased in numerous acclaimed exhibitions and international art fairs. His most recent appearances include the 2024 edition of Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary, Art Wynwood in Miami, and ArtPrize in Grand Rapids. His works have been featured not only in the USA but across Europe, with highlights such as exhibitions in Monaco, Amsterdam, and London. He is the founder of the Kedria Arts Gallery, where his unique vision and artistic leadership have made a profound impact on the contemporary art scene.

Throughout his career, Oleg Kedria has received many accolades, including the Talent Prize at the 2023 ANIMAL art competition and multiple finalist awards in prestigious international art shows. His sculptures, celebrated for their meticulous detail and emotive depth, have been praised by leading art critics and publications like Circle Quarterly Art Review, ARTIST Portfolio Magazine, and APERO Fine Art Publication.
