Artist Statement

This work was created in a drawing class I had recently taken. I had the opportunity to experiment with many different mediums like vine charcoal, ink, and pastels. This work was a new medium that I was introduced to, and I truly loved working with it. The pastels looked so vibrant without putting too much effort, and the colors blended beautifully together.

Biography

Stephanie Gonzales is a recent college graduate of La Sierra University, as a double major in Graphic Design and Fine Arts. She has been passionate about art since she was 9 years old, starting off working with graphite on paper to now experimenting with many mediums like pastels, acrylic yarn, and clay. She has received scholarships and gallery awards throughout her time in college for her work, and just recently completed a series of work for her senior exhibition. As a recent graduate, she plans to continue to experiment with new materials and to keep creating.
