1) What is the Artianne Magazine all about?

Artianne Magazine is dedicated to elevating the work of emerging artists from around the world. We are passionate about providing visibility and publishing opportunities to emerging and established artists alike. Our mission is to uplift and promote the work of contemporary artists from around the globe.

2) Who is eligible to appy for the Open Call?

The Open Call is open to emerging artists who challenge artistic heritage through innovation. Visual Artists 18 years and older from any country are eligible to apply in any mediums. Submissions are open to artists, photographers and designers from all around the world. It can be submitted a single or a series painting, photo, drawings, or mixed-media works. Anything that can be fixed on paper is eligible. We welcome all approaches, or techniques.

3) What is the theme for the Open Call?

There is no specific theme for this open call, offering artists a broad canvas for individual interpretation and exploration. You are encouraged to delve into its multifaceted dimensions, tapping into your creativity to envision your own perspectives on various subjects, whether metaphorically, symbolically, or literally.

4) How can I apply for the Open Call?

To apply for the Open Call, simply visit our website via Link in Bio and fill out the dedicated application form provided. Ensure that you have all the required documents ready, including your biography, curriculum vitae, visuals of past works and exhibitions, as well as your project proposal.

5) When is the deadline?

Deadline is June 28th, 2024, 11:59 pm EST.

Early entry is available until May 31st, and you will have the advantage of discounted submission fees and evaluation scores.

6) What should be included in my application portfolio?

Your application portfolio should include essential documents such as artist statement, your biography, curriculum vitae detailing your artistic journey, visuals showcasing your past works, and images or documentation of your previous exhibitions. These elements collectively provide a comprehensive overview of your artistic background and achievements.

7) How will applications be evaluated?

Applications will be evaluated based on several criteria, including the innovativeness in the context of visual arts and traditions, the engagement and relevance of various themes you choose, and the quality of the conceptual and technical proposal. The selection process aims to identify artists whose work demonstrates both artistic excellence and a forward-thinking approach to creative expression.

8) What is the benefits for the selected artists?

  • If your work is selected, it will be published in a full-color in both the print and digital versions of the magazine that will include your artist biography and statement, website, social media, and artwork images. We also promote artists individually via the website and social media posts.
  • Even if your work is not chosen for our print and digital magazine, we offer the chance to showcase it on our website’s exclusive “Selected Artists” permanent section. This dedicated space will feature a specific page for each artist which share your biography, statement, and display your works. By taking advantage of this unique opportunity, your art will reach a larger audience of art enthusiasts and fellow artists. We value the growth and evolution of your artistic journey and look forward to supporting you in showcasing your talent.
  • This open call also provides tangible support for their ongoing artistic endeavors, not only celebrates the artist’s achievements.

9) Are there any restrictions on the type of art that can be submitted?

There are no restrictions in your artistic approach. Artists are encouraged to explore diverse mediums, styles, and approaches to artistic expression. Whether through traditional techniques or cutting-edge digital practices, all forms of art are welcome and valued.
