Artist Statement

I'm happy to draw with brush on an empty canvas. As the unconscious leads me. The scent of the sky and flowers, which can be seen every day but are different every moment, reminds me of the communication between humans and nature.
I want to express the feelings of nature that give infinite inspiration. I'm interested in things that the invisible with my eyes, such as air, wind, and light. I want to express and record the eternal moments. Color forms a close relationship with emotions. I hope to give for the viewer to heal through my paintings.

Biography

Growing up as the daughter of a hanbok designer, she grew up naturally learning a fascination with colors. When she was young, she could see notes of selected color combinations from countless fabrics in her mother's studio, and it became her identity. I felt the power of color and enjoyed expressing it. She has gained various experiences for 10 years as a fashion designer, and now she is making stories with the materials of brushes and canvases. She now lives in New York and wants to talk about the vitality from the light she feels in nature while taking a walk in Central Park in front of her house.
